RC Helicopter Flies Over Santa Cruz Boardwalk
Took a little vacation to the beach in Northern California the last weekend. Shot a little video form on-board my Trex 450 clone RC helicopter. Used my flycamone2. pretty unlikely to have a glitch with the transmitter I was using. Plus I flew over when on one was around =)
great, is it “right “to fly over parks like that? what if the heli loose/glitch signal and crash into something?
I call this real dedication to RC modelling. A new clip even from holidays! My favourit scene were the low passes over waves and the last scene when you landed with the shadow of heli shown for the camera. Great idea for ending the clip. The amusement park is a nice scenery as well! Great clip!
Range of the helicopter / transmitter receiver is farther then my eyes could see them to fly. The camera was no an FPV camera. I just records the video footage onto it’s memory card.

Fantastic video. did you fly using the camera or from the ground? I agree with it looking like Coney Island. It is 30 degrees here. Wish I was there.
O heck yeah…had my flippy-floppys on =)
I used two batteries. But neither was completely drained. The camera is actually really light. The helicopter hardly knows it there. But yeah It was pretty high a couple times =)

Yeah it was a little nerve racking flying high and far with the 450 heli. It gets hard to see real fast.

great video mikey have you ever thought of trying to do the first person view flying with a camera and a tv like they do with the unmanned recon stuff for the military? i have seen a few videos of them here on youtube and it seems to work really well 5 stars by the way looks like a nice place for a vacation
