Less than $200 will get you a toy, not a real RC.
You need to spend $200 on good radio alone.
Don’t read what the other guy says.. Price range does NOT determine what a toy and hobby grade helicopter is… A toy is usually something that is made safe so it doesn’t harm a child. OR anyone in general.
Usually hobby grade helicopters are fully customisable and you could change out almost any part. As for a toy one… if something like the electronics break, youll have to get a new one.
There are helicopters like the E-Flite Blade CX2 that is under $200. That is definitely NOT a toy. The Blade CP which is discontinued used to be under $200 as well and that is definitely NOT a toy as well. There were reports of injuries at my local hobby shop when little kids were flying them.
Anyways, let me recommend a few to you.
The E-Flite Blade CX2 is great if you just started out flying RC helicopters. It is a co-axial helicopter that allows you to hover easily. It mimics the controls of a real helicopter.
If you have flown an RC helicopter before, there are a few others you could look for. The E-Flite Blade CP is a great acrobatic helicopter that is $250. 2.4 Ghz controller would give you an interference free flight thatll make you less stressed than with a Mhz controller.
