Do servers in theme park restaurants make good money?
I was wanting to get a new waiting tables job, and was looking at the major restaurants in the Orlando theme parks, such as Disney’s Planet Hollywood, or the new TREX they are gonna open in a few months, Universal’s Hard Rock or even some of the fine dining inside the park such as Mythos at Islands of Adventure, or something inside Epcot. I wanted to know how much a server can make at one of those places, and if it would be worth it to try and get a job there? Or should I just stick with the typical TGI Fridays, Chilis, Applebees type of places?
Theme parks get a LOT of people coming in every day. I would imagine more so than places like applebee’s, etc.
Lots of people come in also on weekends and stay for a long time, so most of them will be going to the restaurants in the theme park.
That would be my place of choice to work as a server.
