cost to put a deck on house labor + materials?
im thinking of putting a 10ft wide by 14ft long deck on my house with trex decking could anyone give me a idea of what this would cost me?
I can give a cost estimate in the South Eastern Michigan Area and the Metro Subburbs of Chicago Illionis. Our company installs many decks every year in both areas. I do have many examples and pictures of decks at www.milesbradley.com
For 140 sq ft of decking you would expect to pay around 25 dollars per foot. but I would think you also have some deck steps also so dont forget to ad that footage also. For every 7 inches you door is off grade you need to account for one 4 foot wide step. so if you are 35 inches off the ground you would need five 7 inch high levels to get to the ground. The deck being one of them and 5 steps that are 4 foot wide. So you would add 20 sq foot of steps to your 140 sq foot deck and get a total sq footage of 160 time 25 or so depending on brands. hope that helps
