My excel has a limited amount of columns (1-IV). Can I exceed this limit?
Could it be my version of excel? Is there a utility that I can download to change this?
I have a really really long questionaire. Because excel has a limit on amount of columns, I am having to use all 3 sheets and multiple data sets. I would like to combine it in one enormous sheet. How can I do that?
You have 256 columns on a sheet and 65536 rows. That is a lot! I don’t know why you need so many columns or rows? Are you spreadsheeting Exxon’s profits by individual gas station? 
Just because Excel opens only with 3 sheets, Sheet1, Sheet2, Sheet3 doesn’t mean you are limited by three sheets. You can add additional sheets and rename them or have the results from one sheet carry over to the next sheet. If you have many entries then use the rows for entry, else use the columns. Excel makes it easy to be horizontal or vertical. I used one for rent collections where every month was on another sheet and the balance due was the next months prior balance – I did this going for years on many many sheets in one file (Book). Then you can have the figures from each sheet appear on master sheet that you can chart monthly or yearly changes.
It seems from your question that you don’t understand the abilities of the program. Microsoft has good online help for Excel . See the link below for microsofts traning, support, and online powerpoint presentations that can train you too.
