How many exercises in one day without over training?
i have a 3 day a week strength training workout plan that i wrote for myself and now its time to switch some of the exercises. as a rule i dont exceed 8 exercises a day, and i do 2-3 exercises per muscle group. depending on the flow of the workout session, i can get each day done in about an hour, sometimes an hour and a half. i can get through the workout fine and i feel great afterwards.
my question is, is this a good rule? would 9 in one day be too much?
I wouldn’t worry about how man as much as the time. I think you need to do 30 to make progress but anything over an hour is just waisting time.
