Does this processer meet or exceed requirements?
Pentium® D Processor 820 with Dual Core Technology (2.80GHz, 800FSB)
The requirments for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion say that you need a 3 Ghz Intel pentium 4 or equivalent processer. Does this processer meet the requirements or exceed them? Multiple answers are welcomed and so are suggestions and info. Im trying to look for the perfect setup to run games. Thanks. My bugett is around 1200 dollars.
That processor will work, even if you don’t overclock the system. Your biggest area of expense should be the video card first, and then as much memory as you can afford. You can never have enough memory, and this goes especially for gaming.
If your gaming is stuttering, (as one person mentioned) then you could also have a video card setting wrong for the game, as well as possibly a burned out video card that was over clocked but not cooled well enough that’s on it’s last leg, or overheated memory modules, which could also be bad, if they were overheated at one point.
