we have a very old bag of fertilizer…can we move it?
We bought a very old house (built in 1911). And well, the garage was trashed with piles of various things, sadly nothing of value. Anyhow, there was a bag of very old fertilizer in the rafters. I don’t think it’s from 1911, but it’s at least 50 years old. Anyhow, I want to get it out of the garage…but we’re afraid to move it. I keep replaying the episode of lost where they find the old dynamite and it freaks me out. Is a bag of 50 year old fertilizer safe to move?
Yes, you can move it. Fertilizer doesn’t combust by itself.
Be careful if the bag is rotted though.. you might get fertilizer dust all over everything.
