Buy Electric Rc Airplanes

Electric remote control airplanes are best for beginners.

The power of RC electric flight is amazing, not to mention much easier to own and operate :) With glow engines there is the problem of maintaining them and making sure they are up to snuff.

Over my years as an RC pilot, I have found that beginners and advanced pilots both seem to like electric RC airplanes, so it is a great idea to buy one as your first airplane.

Simple electric RC airplanes, like the Sky Vector shown below, are great because they are very easy to fly, and you really only have too master two controls. One control being the speed and the other being the direction you want to move in.

One of the best things about airplanes like the Sky Vector though, is the fact that they can be ready to fly within 15 minutes of opening the box! Basically, it is a no hassle approach to flying RC airplanes, which is what most beginners like and need.

Electric RC trainer airplanes are also available for people who want to actually train with electric airplanes, because that is all they intend to fly.

Important Electric RC Airplanes Reminders

There are many types of electric rc planes you can choose from. There is your regular electric rc airplane, then there are park flyers and slow flyers and some rc jets that are powered electrically. Park and Slow flyers are great for some fun flights in your back yard, or any local park. Electric r/c jets are very fast and fun to fly too. Follow those links to learn more about them.

Before a beginner decides to purchase an electric rc plane, you should keep these two things in mind:

1. Wings should be high up on fuselage

2. Should be an electric trainer that is RTF or ARF

Having the wing high up on the fuselage creates more stability, and RTF’s/ARF’s are easy to put together and start flying.

Below is a list of equipment that every beginner should have to make there electric rc plane work properly. A RTF and ARF kit usually includes everything needed with your purchase. Just go through the list to make sure you have it all.

airplane kit

electric motor and speed controller (maybe propeller too)

battery pack and appropriate charger

radio transmitter (AA or AAA batteries) and receiver

Just a reminder, always look for “not included”, and be sure to purchase what is not.

Why Choose Electric RC Planes?

Electric rc airplanes are easy to use, simply charge the battery and fly. Flight time can be anywhere between 10 to 30 minutes per charge. Buy an extra battery pack and fly for over an hour!

Electric powered rc airplanes are quiet, allowing you to play without neighbors complaining about the noise.

Electric rc airplanes are less complicated than gas models, best for beginners.

There are many ups and downs to electric rc planes. Let’s look at them now.

Electric RC Plane Pro’s Electric RC Plane Con’s

quite

cheaper

environmentally friendly

easy to fly

easy to fix and replace parts

slow (some exceptions)

short flight times

not realistic looking or sounding

Basically, if you are looking for just some quick little flights every once in awhile, then electric r/c airplanes are perfect for you. If you want to get into faster more advanced airplanes, then I suggest you check out gas and jet rc airplanes.

Equipment for Electric RC Airplanes

Electric RC airplanes just need the following:

rc airplane kit

electric motor

battery pack for electric motor

charger for the battery pack

radio control system

12 AA sized batteries for the radio control system

The best part is that most ready to fly rtf rc airplanes come complete with all these items. Just charge the battery, find a clear field, and fly!

Cheap Models

There are cheap rc airplanes for sale that costs only $49.99. There are also great beginner and ready to fly models that cost anywhere from $69 – $342 USD.

Click here for a list of cheap rc airplanes sorted according to sale price.

Brands

Manufacturers such as Hobby Zone, Megatech, Vortex, Hobbico, and Nikko sell ready to fly rtr electric powered rc airplanes.

Click here for a list of electric rc airplanes sorted according to brand.

What Model to Buy?

For beginners who want to fly immediately, I suggest buying ready to fly rtf electric rc airplanes. RTF a cheap rc airplane that come complete with all needed equipment.

Electric Motors

Electric rc airplanes operate on a electric motor and it is powered by a battery pack. Electric motors are nothing fancy, and are cheaper then glow engines. So far my experience with electric motors has been great. I don’t think you will have any problems either, as long as you take care of your electric motor and try not to crash.

Let’s Start Flying!

Any beginner can fly electric RTF and ARF rc airplanes. If you want to learn to fly your plane, I suggest you buy a good rc airplane book and practice flying your electric airplane. Since there slower and cheaper then gas rc airplanes, it’s okay if you make some mistakes. If you still think you might need help flying your rc airplane, then visit my learn to fly page.

First, you need to focus on choosing the right airplane. Before you start spending money, ask yourself these questions:

much do you want to spend?

How fast do you want your airplane to go?

How far do you want it to go?

Do you want a scale model (realistic model) or a non-scale model?

After you have answered those questions above, you can start looking for the right plane.

What else will you need?

I think every rc airplane pilot should have a field box. There great for fixing some problems you might have out in the flying field. If you want to have a longer flying time with electric planes, you might want to think about buying an extra battery. For even longer flying times, you could buy a car charger for your rc airplane battery. This way one can charge why you use the other. Check out my parts and accessory pages to find these items.

Something every beginner should consider buying is a good book or subscribing to an electric rc airplanes magazine.

Great Plains Dynamics ERP, as it was raising and winning the market in earlier and late 1990th

Great Plains Software had its DOS Accounting and in essence ERP and even MRP application – Great Plains Accounting in late 1980th. When Microsoft Windows OS system graphical platform was introduced in around 1995-96 as reliable computer graphics, comparing to traditional text only DOS and Unix, there was obvious direction among computer and ERP systems programmers – to move from text application to Windows (or Macintosh) graphical versions. Nowadays trend might seem as very small question, however in time it was a revolutionary idea and it required a lot of effort, and it was engaged in numerous ERP, and computer hardware vendors competition: SUN, Apple, IBM, Microsoft, plus DB platforms (some of them trying to stake on UNIX and some of them were bought by Microsoft to be transitioned to Windows). To be open to you, our readers, likely software programmers, IT specialists, Vice Presidents in IT, Controllers, we are not professional computer industry historians, so our articles are not retrospections, they are rather associations, and our goal is to give you feedback and additional details on ERP and MRP software market in USA and Internationally and how Dynamics GP Great Plains fits there

1. Great Plains Dexterity and C programming language. As you may remember, C and C++ (object oriented obsession in earlier 1990th) was considered as panacea to help computer programs, including corporate ERP applications to abstract themselves from those days turbulent computer hardware and operating systems market. Today you may make an observation that this is now ancient history and nobody compete now on that ground

2. Innovation ERP in Windows and MAC OS. In our opinion, Great Plains Software Dynamics took its US and international accounting and ERP market share due to its innovation on IBM PC and Mac graphical platforms. As you may remember, initial DB platforms were Btrieve and Ctree, these two are hardly to be considered as competitors to such UNIX based SQL compliant DBs as Oracle, Sybase, Ingress. GPS caught its star time and introduced Great Plains Dynamics in the right moment to make it a champion through 1990th Clinton era

3. Great Plains Dexterity mission. Back in 1990h and late 1980th there was a popular believe and even IT concept , based on C and C++ programming language abstract just one level above assembler – that C will be able to resolve your dependence on computer hardware, OS and open your ERP the door to the future, where C and C++ were believed to be further flourishing. In fact, C programming language was a real revolution, however it is rather not realistic to predict the future, as rules of the time games are changing. Those good days back in earlier 1990th nobody would predict that Internet will be the driver for the industry. Internet in its turn introduced HTML, ecommerce concept, differentiation between fat and thin client – all these and additional technology puzzles made Great Plains Dexterity sort of obviously obsolete, but it did retain ins Great Plains modification and add-on development market

4. Nowadays cool Dynamics GP tools and features. Since Dynamics GP 9.0 version we are hearing from Microsoft Business Solutions practitioners, fields consultants and programmers that eConnect is the opening door to the future of Dynamics GP Great Plains customization, ISV, unique reporting, EDI software developing market is now the way to undertaken Great Plains ecommerce integration programming

5. Great Plains Dexterity customization excurse, this technology was very popular in late 1990th, when Great Plains Dynamics and eEnterprise were sort on short of ISV customization partners and Dex customizations were made on Great Plains Partner level, certified in Great Plains Dexterity: Great Plains Consultants and Programmers

6. Article format and orientation. Alba Spectrum is hoping that this small publication will help you with your Dynamics GP Great Plains, eEnterprise, GP eCommerce, GP Barcode project

7. Where to look for additional info. Within Microsoft Dynamics website at Microsoft. Please feel free to call our 866 number directly below, or simply email us, visit our website, request executive Dynamics GP Great Plains presentation

Esky Dauphin Upgrades

Esky Dauphin Upgrades
I am looking for a good collective pitch rc helicopter that easy to fly and good for a begin er?

I have an Esky dauphin coaxial rc helicopter and the esky edition of Pre-flight’s simulator software, but I’m getting a little bored with it and want to upgrade to something bigger. The new unreleased Esky big lama looks like fun because it has a 6 channel reciver which would allow for some fun tweaking like rectractable langing gear, lights, and it’s supposedly made for “outdoor flight”. At the moment I find it a bit annoying that the slightest breeze overpowers my dauphin, so I question weather a coaxial heli will ever be any good outside. at the same time I’m thinking that mabye it’s time to move up to an entry-level colective pitch model, but I’m a little intimidated by how difficult they appear to be to fly, and the costs associated with reparing them.
It would help to know if some CP helis easier to fly than others. I would like to keep the kit cost under $160.

any ideas?

Don’t bother with Brian C’s answer for he doesn’t seem too knowledgeable on the subject of “RC Flight.”

The reason an coaxial helicopter could not fly outdoors is because the top propeller is not being controlled by anything but its centripetal force. The blade would only act upon what the bottom propeller does. If it goes forward, the top blade will only tilt a little causing it to center itself. This causing it to be easy to hover. When wind hits it, it knocks the top propellers into the direction of the wind, sometimes even confusing the propeller pushing it into multiple directions, or the direction of the wind.

Anyways, back to your question…
Collective Pitch helicopters aren’t easy to learn. They are all equally the same to learn on. Collective Pitch and Fixed Pitched aren’t too different. Pitch describes the Blades.Collective Pitch blades tilt and collect wind, giving the helicopter lift. Fixed pitched helicopters have blades already pitched, so they do not tilt. Fixed Pitched blades are like the coaxial helicopter you already have. Those are Fixed Pitched Blades.

Coaxial helicopters would be good outdoors if there is absolutely no wind. Collective Pitched (CP) or Fixed Pitched (FP) helicopters will be even better, but also still limited. You can’t have a lot of wind. like 0-15 MPH is ok.

The only thing more difficult on the CP helicopter or FP helicopter without coaxial blades are the hovering of the helicopter. Because there is not second propeller to center your helicopter, you have to do that yourself. If you mastered that, and know how to fly a Coaxial helicopter, you could do pretty much anything from fast forward flights, to inverted flights even! The costs will be a little more than the Coaxial helicopters. So I would suggest you flying the CP or FP helicopter in a place without winds first, so you get an idea of how the helicopter handles.

All CP helicopters are the same. The bigger, the easier to fly when its more windy, but not necessarily. If you want a kit under $160, there are a lot out there.

The Heli Max Axe CP is a nice helicopter for $180 USD. I would definitely suggest that.

There are others, but I wouldnt suggest those Walkera’s and all those since those have a high reputation of cheap materials.

Anyways, if you need more help, just message me.
If you find a RC helicopter and unsure if its good, message me too.

May your next step up in RC Flight experience not be your last.

Dynamics GP Purchase Order Processing Module and Extensions Notes

If you have Microsoft Dynamics GP ERP implemented in your organization, we are offering you to consider POP module setup and implementation, if it is not yet in production.  Our publication should be considered as introduction or case study, but please read features matrix directly from Microsoft Business Solutions Dynamics GP POP module marketing documents.  If you would like to implement Requisitions and their Approval and have limited number of Dynamics GP users to be approvers, please read about implementing WorkFlow in GP, where approvals could be switched on:

1. Purchase Orders.  The functionality begins with Purchase Order (not with Purchase Requisition, if you need negotiation and tenders automation, please read about Purchase Management module in Dynamics GP Business Portal below).  There are several types of Purchase Orders: Standard, Drop-Ship, Blanket and Blanket Drop-Ship, plus you can commit PO to Sales Documents.  In Purchase Order module settings you can allow such optional features, as Allow Receiving without Purchase Order, Change Site ID in Receiving, Holds placing and removing mechanism, Allow Altering Costs in Receiving.  And, in addition you can enable multiple User Defined Fields in POP module settings.  Purchase Order Processing could be integrated with GP Project Accounting in standard logic (no customization needed).  When you change one line of Standard PO to Released, all PO status changes to released as well.  When you print Drop-Ship or Blanket PO, its status automatically changes to released.  There is also a change order mechanism

2. Purchase Receipts.  If you allow Receiving without PO, then you can receive whatever you suppliers send you, otherwise you have to match received merchandise with PO lines.  Receiving could be of three types: Shipment (when you receive merchandise and packing slip – no invoice, Vendor Invoice comes later in mail), Shipment/Invoice (when you receive vendor invoice with the shipment, or when you prepaid to your vendor and they ship you merchandise with paper paid invoice for your reference), and In-Transit Inventory is not a real Purchase Receipt from you vendor, or supplier, this is a way to use third party agents to deliver your merchandise from one Inventory Site to Another (and be sure that in the case of confuse it is not accepted as Sold Merchandise in your destination Warehouse)

3. Purchase Order Generator.  If you do not use Manufacturing Suite of modules, and if you are using something like automatic stock level replenishment in your wholesale or retail operations or in Bill Of Materials (light discrete production), PO Generator is reasonably simple way to reorder merchandise with several criteria: Order Method, Replenishment Level , Vendor Selection, Cost Selection (Order Point Quantity, Order-Up-To-Level, Vendor EOQ, etc., – we would like our customers reorder Dynamics GP modules, add-ons and services via PO Generator!)

4. Requisition and PO Approval Cycle in Dynamics GP Business Portal Requisition Management Module.  If you are large public corporation or non-for-profit organization with required PO tenders and Requisition approvals, please review Microsoft Dynamics GP Business Portal.  It is web based Sharepoint Application, you should check with your IT department if you can host Sharepoint and Business Portal.  Normally you save of Business Portal user licenses, as you do not need all the requisition creators to be Dynamics GP users, BP user license typically costs you forty dollars or less.  Requisition Management module has approval hierarchy (consider two level approvals, for example employee submit requisition to purchase new computer for her/him, department manager, assuming that budget permits, approves or declines, and if approved it goes to corporate purchasing manager for final approval or declining).  When requisition is approved by final approver it is showing up in Dynamics GP POP module as Purchas Order.  BP in our opinion is good for being implemented for Dynamics GP version 10.0 or 9.0.  For earlier versions of GP, including Great Plains Dynamics on Pervasive SQL Server 2000/Btrieve or Ctree, we recommend upgrade to Dynamics GP version 10.0 (we are writing these lines in October 2009, if this looks historical, feel free to check with us on current GP version). There are Dynamics GP ISV partners web based Requisition Add-Ons available, please check with us

5. Dynamics GP POP module historical excurse.  If you deploy Great Plains Dynamics, eEnterprise in your organization over ten years or more, you may find this paragraph useful, especially in upgrade and migration scenarios.  Back in late 1990th Great Plains Dynamics (the name of former Microsoft Dynamics GP, prior to its acquisition by Microsoft and rebranding as Microsoft Dynamics) didn’t have native POP module, and there were reasons, as GP Dexterity platform was open to Great Plains Dynamics ISV partners to program their own extension modules to Great Plains.  One of the most popular was Intellisol Advanced Purchase Order Processing (with Requisitions, POs and Receiving), however it seems now that the acquisition negotiation about future GP Project Accounting (where both Intellisol and Philippines based Match Data had strongest chances, but finally MD was chosen and that was the beginning of Intellisol decline).  If you are on old GP version (7.5, 7.0, 6.0, 5.5, 5.0, 4.0 or earlier) and you are using Intellisol APOP, please consider migration to Dynamics GP POP module.  Migration tool is available for Great Plains Dynamics 7.5, please check with your Dynamics GP Partner or call our office

6. Purchase Order Processing in Great Plains Accounting for DOS, Windows and Macintosh: 9.5, 9.2, 9.1 and earlier versions.  Please, note that GPA for DOS, archaic Microsoft Windows and Mac is predecessor of Great Plains Dynamics for Windows and Mac, but it had its own technology and code base and its POP business logic might resemble current GP POP logic, but it is not exactly the same.  GPA is no longer supported (however if you would like to get support from Great Plains VAR, feel free to contact us), you should consider GPA migration to Microsoft Small Business Accounting, Dynamics GP, migration tools are available, however user and modules licenses should be purchased at discounted price, as you will get credits for GPA modules owned

7. GP POP for international customers and for multinational corporations.  If you plan to implement Dynamics GP or add POP module for international company or subsidiary, please check if Dynamics GP is localized for targeted country.  Microsoft Dynamics GP current version 10.0 is available in English Speaking countries: USA, Canada (including French Canadian version for Quebec Montreal), UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, South East Asia (where English is used as primary business language), Spanish speaking Latin America, Caribbean, Central America, Mexico.  If you are outside of US, please check with Dynamics GP Partner or Microsoft Business Solution in your country or region if POP module is compliant to local regulation.  Please, note that in Russia, Brazil, East Europe, Continental Europe GP is no longer available, we recommend you to consider Dynamics AX Axapta as alternative.  If Axapta looks too expensive and complex, please consider SAP Business One as more budget oriented solution, which is localized for most of Europe, Brazil.  Also Dynamics GP doesn’t support UNICODE characters (often referred as hieroglyphs: Chinese, Japanese, Korean) – again, in our opinion the work around is to consider Dynamics AX or SAP B1, plus consider popular local accounting packages, in Brazil it would be Microsiga, in Russia 1C Bukhgaltery, etc.

8. How to get help?  Please, feel free to call us: 1-866-528-0577, outside of USA: 1-630-961-5918 or email us help@albaspectrum.com  We are very technical and real Dynamics GP Dexterity, SAP Business One SDK and Microsoft CRM programming gurus.  We have Great Plains Software Development Factory and could support unlimited Dynamics GP Customization and Programming needs.  Plus we speak English, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, and not only as native speaking sales folks, but as real technical consultants.  If you prefer skype: albaspectrum

Am I Ready For Everest Base Camp?

So you are planning to do the great trek, Everest Base Camp or EBC as you will soon become accustomed to. The best thing you can do for yourself here is be well prepared; no amount of guessing is going to make this trek easier for you. Talking to people that have done it, reading articles and forum notes written by people that have done it, and booking with a registered, responsible, experienced and qualified company is a great way to start.

Many people have many opinions on what you need to bring, how you need to prepare and what to expect, the fact is, you can’t gauge the weather, you can’t predict unforeseeable changes or events to your plans, or foresee the way your body is going to acclimatise to altitude. You simply need to be as prepared as you can possibly be.

Training your body for the trek: I have heard it all before, step classes, treadmills, aerobics, weight lifting etc. I can tell you now, you cannot prepare your trekking muscles by walking an hour a day on a treadmill or pumping iron, certainly this will improve your fitness, your cardiovascular strength and your body image. But it can’t prepare you for uneven ground, the constant up and down, and very uneven stairs, which is a given when trekking in Nepal. One of the best things you can do is get outdoors, walk up hills, get off the pavement, walk on the grass, walk over tree roots and up dirt paths, climb uneven rock stairs, or very steep inclines, don’t forget up is not only what you need to concentrate on, you require a whole different set of muscles to make walking downhill a breeze as well, plus this will improve your surefootedness, your trekkers eye scoping potential trips and holes, rocks and slippery gravel, no one wants a grazed knee or twisted ankle on the trek. Keep up the cardiovascular work though, this will improve your ability to adjust in altitude, however, you need to keep in mind that the fittest person out there can still have complications in high altitude treks, a slow and steady pace, a vigilant but not to paranoid awareness of your bodies reactions, will keep you safer. If you find yourself constantly stopping to catch your breath you are going too fast, yes those people that speed past you like pros’ may look good, but the probability they are going to suffer a bit of altitude sickness for rushing is quite high.

What do I bring: Keep it simple, there is no need to bring an esky, barbeque, and billy can (yes I’m Australian). I prefer a water bladder when trekking to a water bottle; it sits more evenly, distributing weight across your back, instead of a usually swinging bottle or one that sits off to the side. A camelback is great for easy access through a water hose and mouth piece, saves stopping to take out your bottle from your pack. A head torch is also better for evening strolls, trekking in dusk, reading or night toilet trips, most people do better with both hands. A good sized pack and a bigger pack for your porter or just one well fitted big backpack for those that are carrying their own bags. Although I highly recommend giving a porter a job, some money to take home to his family, and taking a load off your own back to enjoy the trek that little bit more. A sleeping bag that is at least -3 degrees, a small personal first aid kit, a thermal top and pants to sleep in, a few t-shirts and some quick dry trekking pants during the day, a light but warm windbreaker, and a fleece for cold evenings. A very good pair of trekking boots that have ankle support, and good grip on rock and gravel, and try to wear them in, there is nothing worse than brand new boots and the BIG blisters they may cause. A cap, sun glasses, sun cream, energy bars or sugar lollies to suck along the way. Waterproof bags to but all your valuables in, even a few recycled plastic shopping bags or bin liners work well, or get yourself a good sea to summit bag. Plastic emergency ponchos are a great way to protect you or your pack from sudden downpours, and a wet pack is a heavy pack!

The best thing you can do is be mentally prepared to have fun, this is an amazing trek that tops a lot of lists for avid travellers, if you’re about to do it, then you’re fulfilling a wish of many, so enjoy it, Nepal is one beautiful place to trek.
