Alternative Energy – CrossFire Fusor
Nuclear fusion takes place when light atomic nucleus collides with each other to combine to form a heavier atomic nucleus releasing a tremendous amount of energy. For fusion reactions to take place are needed kinetic energy and confinement to achieve collisions at the required rate. Nuclear fusion reactions have an energy density many times greater than nuclear fission. The nuclear fission involving uranium-235 and plutonium-239 produce more radiation hazards and radioactive waste than a conventional neutronic nuclear fusion involving deuterium and tritium, and the conventional neutronic nuclear fusion produce more neutrons than an aneutronic nuclear fusion involving boron hydrides, helium-3 and lithium hydrides, which products are a non-radioactive waste helium-4. Both release millions of times more energy than chemical reactions.
The CrossFire Fusor is a nuclear fusion reactor designed by Moacir L. Ferreira Jr. for fusing atomic nucleus in order to produce enormous quantities of energy without pollution and no neutron hazards.
This fusion reactor is comprised by six superconducting magnets disposed to form a magnetic cusp region in where positive ions are injected. At the magnetic cusp region is applied a negative voltage and at the opposite end of each magnet is applied a positive voltage. The ions are accelerated electrostatically towards the negative potential passing through the magnetic cusp reaching the chamber interior, where the ions are confined radially by magnetic fields and longitudinally by electric fields, that is a three-dimensional confinement. The ion injection is done continuously surrounding the magnetic cusp region to perform a three-dimensional injection. The positive voltage confines only reactants allowing the products from the fusion reactions to escape.
The ions are injected with great kinetic energy (600KeV), but in small quantities, and calculations are done for the magnetic and electric fields to confine the ionized plasma, keeping it away from the chamber walls.
The CrossFire Fusor was based on stellated polyhedrons, accelerating electrostatically reactants inwardly to the central edges and products escaping at peripheral vertices after overcoming the confinement of electric fields.
Although this reactor uses electrostatic acceleration like the Farnsworth–Hirsch Fusor, it doesn’t have a central-grid to cause losses. Then the ions, under electrostatic acceleration, can reach great kinetic energy with inexpressive energy consumption. Also, there is no recirculation of electrons to induce excessive electromagnetic radiation.
Due to use of electrostatic acceleration, the CrossFire Fusor is able to fuse not only conventional fuels such as deuterium-tritium, but also aneutronic fuels like boron hydrides, helium-3 and lithium hydrides. Aneutronic fusion reactions release millions of times more energy than the fossil fuels, almost not emit neutrons and the products of the reaction is mainly helium-4 that is safe and clean.
The fusion reaction products are positively charged which can be deflected by magnetic and electric fields. Then a conversion to electricity is relatively simple. The conversion is done during the neutralization by a positive electric voltage to slow down and an electron gun to neutralize. The current of electrons and the electric voltage is equal to electric power (P=V×I).
CrossFire Fusor provides solutions for two drawbacks that are common to nuclear fusion:
1. Ionic saturation, excess of ions in the chamber, which could be solved by a stronger superconducting magnet, by decreasing the specific ionization of the plasma and by having an adequate escape mechanism.
2. Electromagnetic radiation losses, that could be reduced by a reflective internal coating in order to reflect the electromagnetic radiation back to the plasma.
The advantages of the CrossFire Fusor over others fusion approaches are:
1. Three-dimensional injection and confinement, which increase the probability and velocity of the fusion reactions.
2. Escape mechanism, which reduces the ionic saturation and instabilities of energy, and provides both with efficiency, propulsion and electricity generation.
3. A method for electricity conversion that can exceed 95% of efficiency.
4. Simple and consistent calculations, which give a reasonable degree of predictability.
As an alternative source of energy, this fusion reactor could replace the 10 billion tons/year of carbon dioxide from fossil fuels to only 7600 tons/year of clean, inert, safe and light helium gas, which can reduce drastically the Global Warming Problem.

Flying Your RC Helicopter
Flying an RC helicopter is real fun. It’s very exciting to watch your RC helicopter do stunts in mid air with you holding the controls and controlling all its movements. Before you start flying your RC helicopters make sure you read the whole manual very carefully. It’s the first step towards the smooth flying of your RC helicopter. You have to be very cautious and safe when using your RC helicopter. Make sure you understand all the diagrams well and place all the parts in place. Carefully configuring your RC helicopter is very essential .Make a good check on all the throttle linkages and make sure they are in the right position. Remember that learning how to perfectly fly will take you some time, as time passes you will improve in your flying skills. An RC helicopter can fly at a speed of 80mph and can go as high as 10000 to 12000 feet. Practice flying your RC helicopter in all directions backwards, forwards, to the left and right before you really try any stunts and damage it. Flying RC helicopters is a perfect alternative to the real helicopter; you learn the basics of flying the helicopter when you learn to fly the RC helicopters. Some serious RC helicopter pilots would definitely prefer the noisy helicopter over the quiet one, they believe the more complex the mechanism of flying the more exciting and attractive and more close to flying the real helicopter. If you think like that then a gas powered RC helicopter would be the perfect choice for you. Whatever be your choice of your RC helicopter the make sure you take enough of time to learn how to fly it adequately or you might end up crashing it. Each time you crash your helicopter you will end up spending hundreds of dollars.

Rich internet applications – Technology perspective
Rich Internet applications (RIA) are web-enabled applications that provide rich features of conventional desktop applications and connect with data sources over internet. Rich internet applications have been around for years with technologies like Remote scripting, X Internet, Rich (Web) clients, Rich Web application. In order to efficiently utilize RIA, one must understand technology perspective of RIA.
RIA employs different technologies like AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML), JSON (JavaScript Object Notation), Microsoft WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) / Silverlight, JavaFX, Apache Pivot and Adobe Flex/Flash to develop application. It is important to notice that these technologies may be complementary to each other for a given application.
Rich internet applications can be enabled using different tools and middleware technologies, enabling the mixing of traditional structured information, with audio, video, images and high-interactivity into one mashed-up, user-facing environment. In general it’s highly user-centric.
Following is the basic process for selecting and employing RIA technology
Defining the UI Richness: When defining the UI richness, we should ask a few basic questions
* Do we have UI widgets or controls readily available to develop a UI?
* If we need new controls are they easy to use and pluggable?
* How do we add more richness and more interactive visual experiences like animation etc in web page and its controls?
* How do we populate the data by data and event binding keeping UI agility in perspective?
Security considerations: When you adapt to RIA technologies, you need to ensure that there are no security threats compared to conventional applications. Try to explore security surrounding server communications, or browser plug-ins and extensions downloaded on a client.
Selecting Complexity: Your developers have been using existing page-based models for so many years because it is easy and simple, however clumsy it might appear. New RIA technology has to be easy to learn, build, and extend. It should also interoperate with existing Web technologies.
Usability Consideration: Your clients expect the browser application to work with its all available normal browser features. In some particular cases, features such as saving images, Ctrl+F to search for content on a page, and copy-and-paste don’t work in Flash-based solutions. Base your RIA usability design on human-computer interaction principles.

JavaFX: The JavaFX platform contains an essential set of tools and technologies that enable developers and designers to collaborate, create, and deploy applications with expressive content to browsers and desktops. The JavaFX platform contains cross-platform and platform-specific runtime environments and support libraries. With Java SE 6 update 10 and beyond, you can drag-to-Install applications from your browser directly onto your desktop.
Apache Pivot: Pivot combines productivity and usability features of a modern RIA toolkit with the Java platform. Pivot applications are written using Java and XML and can be run either as an applet or as a stand-alone (or offline) desktop application. Pivot includes features that make building modern GUI applications much easier, including declarative UI, data binding, effects and transitions, and web services integration.
Laszlo: Laszlo is the leading open source platform for the development and delivery of RIAs on the Web using Flash. Flash player was initially started with a small plug-in to run Flash files inside browsers. Because of its high reliability and compatibility, it is extensively used for creating flashy and animated images.
Macromedia Flex: It is another Flash-based user interface. It provides a Flex presentation server that sits on top of an application server, and generates Flash files dynamically from the server and delivers to a browser. These Flash files are executed inside the Flash player of the browser, and allow interaction with users, the execution of operations, and even the generation of SOAP, HTTP, or AMF requests to connect back to the server.

what do i need for a carputer car computer/pc?
I plan to put a good carputer in to my car but the problem is i have never done any thing like this before and really need some simple cost effective advice at the minute im building the dash and i need to know what kind of monitor / screen i will need so info on it/links to good quality/tried and tested on products would be good every where ive looked im just getting a sales pitch with way over priced and not very high standard of products
It want it to have:
Touch Screen (fully operational by touch as little buttons as possible )
GPS/Sat Nav (is this just built in to the PC side of it?)
Radio controls
T.V.
Internet
DVD
speed/rev/boost Gauges (have seen this on a car before cant remember what brand it was but i think it was called a “vehicle dynamics” processor?? )
and if possible a G meter (probably very expense so optional)
any simple advice would be great but please try and keep it simple as i am new to this kind of stuff
